Kagoshima special black pork shabu-shabu　「kurokuma」
Kagoshima's speciality, 「kurokuma」served in a large iron pot with a powerful 60 cm diameter, is exceptional!
The special soup with plenty of sweetness, prepared by the chef of Kagoshima's long-established hotel (Hotel & Residence Nanshukan) is so good you'll want to drink it all up. You can enjoy Nanshukan's speciality hot pot, which is made with the highest quality brand of Kurobuta pork "Kagoshima Kurobuta" and the special soup.

Tsurumaru Castle Ruins (Goromon Gate)
~ The largest castle gate in Japan~
Kagoshima (Tsurumaru) Castle was built around 1601 by Iehisa, who later became the 18th head of the Shimazu family and the first lord of the domain, and consists of a mountain castle (Shiroyama) in the background and a residence at the foot of the castle.
The majestic Goroumon Gate is located in the centre of the front of the residence. The Goromon was destroyed by fire in 1873, but was restored in 2020 as the largest castle gate in Japan.

Shiroyama Observatory
Shiroyama is a small 107-meter-high mountain located in the center of the city, and is a classic royal spot from which to view Sakurajima ! The promenade is also a place where citizens can take a stroll and relax. From the observatory, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Sakurajima, Kinko Bay, and the city of Kagoshima. It is also famous for beautiful night view.

Sengan-en Garden . Shoko Shuseikan Museum
Sengan-en Garden is the villa of the Shimazu clans, built in 1658 by the 19th Shimazu Mitsuhisa. The garden is on a large scale, with the majestic Sakurajima as a hill and Kinko Bay as a pond, The 28th Nariakira loved this garden, and it attracted many people, including Princess Atsuhime.
